The tap that says thank you.
Tipsie turns appreciation into income, instantly. A customer taps their phone against a service worker’s Tipsie wristband, chooses an amount, and the tip is on its way to that worker’s mobile money account. Nothing to download, nothing to scan, no cash to carry, count, or lose.

Built for every service worker who shows up and delivers.
Every day, the people who make a service experience genuinely good, a waiter who remembers your order, a driver who gets you there safely, a therapist who actually listens, are tipped in whatever cash a customer happens to have on them, which is increasingly nothing.
This isn’t a payments feature bolted onto a POS. It isn’t a QR code taped to a till. Tipsie is a purpose-built layer for exactly one job: turning a moment of genuine appreciation into money in a worker’s pocket, in seconds, without anyone reaching for cash.
For service businesses
Happier, better-retained staff without touching your existing payment systems.
For service workers
Income that reflects the effort you actually put in, visible, timely, and yours alone.
For customers
Finally say “great job” without being limited by whatever change is in your wallet.
Most tipping platforms lead with features. The more convincing story is what’s actually happening to tipping.
Up ~27% in a single year. The money is already digital.
The most digitally fluent payment culture on earth, still asked to tip in cash.
Every extra step measurably drops completion. A QR code is a step.
Recognition is one of the few levers that keeps good people around.
The money is already digital. Friction is what kills good intentions before they become a tip. Guilt-based prompting is wearing customers out. And recognition, real, timely, attributable recognition, is one of the few levers that actually keeps good service workers around. Tipsie is built at the exact intersection of all four.
Three seconds, three sides, one tap.
- Tap your phone on a Tipsie wristband
- Pick an amount
- Confirm with mobile money
Done in seconds, nothing to install.
- Get set up on Tipsie
- Receive your wristband
- Earn tips straight to your own account
Separate, private, and yours.
Register as a service worker- Bring Tipsie to your venue
- Give every customer-facing team member a wristband
- Keep your POS and payroll exactly as they are
Frictionless recognition, no systems to rip out.
Register your venueAnywhere a customer wants to say “you did a great job” to a specific person, Tipsie should be the way they do it.
Four rules we don’t bend.
Tipsie removes friction at the exact moment a customer’s goodwill is highest and most fragile, and every extra step is a chance for that impulse to fade.
Tap first, features second
Every design decision starts from the three seconds a customer has to decide whether to tip. If a feature adds a step to that moment, it does not ship without a very good reason.
Attribution without bureaucracy
Every tip is traceable to the person who earned it, not because anyone is distrusted, but because clear attribution is what makes recognition actually feel like recognition.
Built for real payment realities
Mobile-money-first, designed for the rails people actually use where they live, not a card-first Western assumption ported into a new market.
Simple for a guest, deep for an enterprise
A tourist tipping once and a hotel group managing hundreds of staff should both find the experience effortless.
From a gap we kept noticing to a tap that closes it.
- 1
The observation
Service workers were being tipped in cash that customers had stopped carrying. Goodwill was arriving with nowhere to go.
- 2
The first tap
We built the shortest possible path between appreciation and income: one tap, one amount, one confirmation. No app, no QR.
- 3
Founding partners
Tipsie went live with venues that let us test the model against real shifts, real crowds, and real payout days.

What’s next
Expanding across hospitality, transport and personal care, and to every role where someone deserves to be thanked by name.
Do customers need to download an app to leave a tip?
No. The customer’s side opens instantly in their phone’s browser the moment they tap, nothing to install, nothing to configure.
Does a business need to change its POS or payroll to use Tipsie?
No. Tipsie runs alongside what you already use, it does not touch your existing till, POS, or payroll setup.
Can a manager see how much a specific staff member earned in tips?
No. Merchant-facing reporting is aggregated: total tipping activity, trends, and volume, not individual earnings. Those stay private to the worker.
How do service workers get paid?
Tips are paid out to a worker’s own mobile money account, kept separate from any pooled or shared funds unless a business specifically sets up pooling for back-of-house roles.
Is Tipsie only for restaurants and hotels?
No. Hospitality is where we are strongest today, but Tipsie works for any customer-facing service role: transport, personal care, tutoring, one-off skilled work, and fundraising, among others.
Is Tipsie secure?
Yes. Tipsie never stores payment PINs or private authentication credentials, and all payments run through secure, established provider integrations.
How much does it cost?
A straightforward, transparent commission applies on tips at payout, with no cut taken from the merchant side of the gratuity. Full current pricing is shared when you sign up.
